When somebody else pays, the work is the same.
Fourth Tech is a registered 501(c)(3). Access is how a place on one of our programs gets paid for by an employer, a grant or a sponsor rather than by the learner. The training does not change; only who settles the bill.
Three ways a place gets funded
Sponsored places
An employer, agency or professional body covers the cost for one person or a team. We invoice the organisation directly, and the learner is enrolled the same way as anyone else: same programme, same assessment, same credential.
Funded cohorts
A foundation, workforce board or community organisation funds a block of places for the people they serve. We agree the cohort, the dates and how progress is reported back, before anybody enrols.
Fourth Tech supported assistance
Occasionally we can carry part of a place ourselves. This is not a standing programme with a budget behind it, and whether anything is available depends entirely on what has been funded at the time. If cost is the only thing between you and the work, ask, and you will get a straight answer either way.
How it works
- 01
You tell us what you need
Who the places are for, roughly how many, and the roles they are training toward. If you are the learner rather than the funder, say so and we will work out who to approach with you.
- 02
We agree the programme
Which path or cohort fits, over what period, and what the people funding it will want to see at the end. This is also where we say plainly if we are not the right fit.
- 03
We put it in writing
Scope, cost and reporting, before anyone enrols. A sponsor knows what they are buying and a learner knows what they are starting.
- 04
The place runs like any other
A funded learner sits the same assessments and earns the same verifiable credential. Nothing on it says it was paid for by somebody else.
What we are not
- Not listed for WIOA or ETPL. Public workforce funding is a conversation we are glad to have and help you pursue, never something we can promise you will receive.
- Not a standing scholarship fund you apply to. No capital has been committed to a fund and there is no pot to apply against. A place is funded when a sponsor, employer or grant covers it, and any assistance we carry ourselves is case by case. Ask and we will tell you honestly what is open at the time.
- Not a discount scheme. Access is about who pays, not about paying less for a thinner version. If you are looking for ways to spread the cost yourself, the funding page sets out the payment options.
Start the conversation
Tell us who the places are for and we will reply with what is possible, including when the answer is that we are not the right fit.
