What you will be able to do
- Run trend, cohort, and segmentation analysis that separates real movement from seasonality and noise.
- Pick the right technique for the question (correlation, forecasting, significance testing) and state its limits honestly.
- Stand up governed self-service with certified datasets, a shared metric layer, and row-level access.
- Stop metric sprawl by defining, documenting, and versioning the numbers the business runs on.
- Turn a finding into a story with a clear 'so what,' the right chart, and one headline recommendation.
- Design dashboards and one-pagers a busy stakeholder can read and act on in under five minutes.
- Drive a recommendation to a decision, then close the loop by measuring whether it worked.

Advanced Analytics and Trends
Move past static reporting into analysis that explains what is changing and why. You will decompose a time series into trend, seasonality, and noise, then use cohorts and segments to find where behavior really differs. Before any pattern reaches a slide, you will test whether it is signal or noise, and tell correlation apart from causation. This is the analytical backbone the rest of the course delivers on.

Self-Service BI and Governance
Self-service BI gives the business the power to answer its own questions. The danger is that, left ungoverned, everyone answers them slightly differently and the numbers drift apart. This module follows Northwind Retail, a mid-size omnichannel retailer, as it rebuilds trust: you define a semantic or metric layer where each measure lives once, certify the datasets people can rely on, and set governance that covers ownership, access, and definitions. You finish able to give the organization scale with trust instead of a thousand conflicting dashboards.

Data Storytelling
A correct analysis that nobody understands changes nothing. This module turns a finding into communication. You will learn to profile the audience and the decision they own, lead with the 'so what' instead of the buildup, and shape an insight into a narrative with a clear complication and a recommendation. Then you will make the visuals carry the meaning: choosing a chart type that fits the relationship, annotating so the takeaway cannot be missed, and cutting the clutter that competes with your signal.

Delivering Insight That Drives Action
The job is not the dashboard, it is the decision that follows. This module teaches you to frame executive-ready recommendations, structure them so a busy leader can act, handle pushback in the room, drive adoption, and close the loop by proving whether the decision happened and whether it worked.
