1. 01

   BI Foundations and Data Prep

   Every BI project succeeds or fails at the same place: whether trustworthy data actually made it into the tool. This module maps the analyst workflow from end to end, shows where Power BI and Tableau each fit best, and then gets you connecting to real sources and shaping them (with Power Query and the Tableau Data Source pane) so that every later step rests on solid ground.

2. 02

   Modeling with the Star Schema

   A good model makes every later step easier, and a bad one makes your measures fragile. This module teaches the star schema: fact tables for the events you measure and dimension tables for the context you slice by. You will set the grain, define keys and relationships, and see why one giant flat table breaks down as data grows.

3. 03

   Calculations and Measures

   Turn raw columns into the metrics the business actually asks for. In Power BI you write DAX measures and learn how filter context keeps numbers correct as users slice and dice. In Tableau you build calculated fields, reach for LOD expressions on tricky aggregations, and add time intelligence like year over year and running totals.

4. 04

   Designing Interactive Dashboards

   A dashboard earns its keep only when the reader gets the answer fast. In this module you match each chart to the question it answers, lay out a report that guides the eye from summary to detail, and add interactivity with slicers, cross filtering, drill down, drill through, and tooltips. Then you publish to a workspace, set a scheduled refresh, and validate every number against a source of truth before anyone relies on it.
